A Townsend Building Supply (a division of Carter Lumber) Commercial Multi-Family Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Commercial/Multi‑Family Division which includes entering and generating quotes/orders, confirmation calls, assisting office staff and providing excellent service to customers. This is accomplished by having constant communication with the CMF Division to ensure orders are completed accurately and timely. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Previous customer service experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and strong Excel experience
- Creates and enters quotes and orders into the management system
- Confirms delivery schedules with commercial/multi‑family customers
- Prints and prepares required project documentation, layouts, and daily paperwork
- Ensures all administrative workflows and documentation processes run smoothly
- Answers incoming office calls and routes them appropriately
- Assists customers by providing information on product availability, timelines, and order status
- Helps resolve delivery, quality, or service issues, or escalates them to the appropriate personnel
- Performs general clerical duties including data entry, filing, copying, and scanning
