A Carter Lumber Order Entry Specialist takes and enters orders received in a timely and efficient manner. Handles complete processing of invoices. Adheres to procedures while processing data entry in a timely manner. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements

  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills
  • Ability to review documents for accuracy
  • Ability to multi task, organize, prioritize and coordinate work activities
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel

Responsibilities

Data Entry

  • Responsible for receiving stock and custom orders and entering them in the database. Generates and forwards invoices for all orders. Creates and provides various reporting as requested.

Sales Support

  • Provides support to the sales representatives by processing orders, scheduling shipments and answering general questions from customers. Forwards any production issues to the proper departments to ensure issues are taken care of. Acts as a backup for the Receptionist.
